Signing a Digital Document for Your Student

Are you a parent or guardian of a student with special needs attending a Wellington Catholic DSB school?

If so, you may receive an email request asking you to sign a document for your student, such as an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

When you receive this email, click the Sign Document button (at right, highlighted in red) to open your student’s document

If this is your first time signing a document for your student, you will be asked to create a digital signature.

Choose your preferred style – or add your own signature using the Draw option.

Creating a signature

Once you’ve chosen your signature, choose I agree to confirm.

Click Save signature for future use to re-use the same signature for future documents.

Click Create to save your digital signature and bring up the document itself.


On the cover page of the document, check the boxes in the Parent/Guardian Signature section that apply to you, and add any comments that you wish to include.

Once finished, choose Sign. The signature you created earlier will appear.

The document will be organized into multiple pages. Be sure to review the content of each page.

Click Next to proceed to the next page, or Previous to return to the previous page.

Click the     button at top left at any time to view your progress via the page tracker. This will show you where you are in the signing process for your document.

A green checkbox will appear beside each reviewed section.

Once you have signed the document where required and reviewed each page, click the “I acknowledge that I have read this document” checkbox, then click Submit to finish.

A page will appear inviting you to close the window.

A copy of the signed document will be sent to you once it is signed by all parties.
