Catholic Education Week

Catholic Education Week provides an opportunity for Catholic communities across Ontario to celebrate the values, faith, and positive impact of Catholic education. It is a time to recognize how Catholic schools help students grow spiritually, academically, and personally while encouraging them to make a difference in the world around them.

The 2027 Catholic Education Week theme, Becoming Artisans of Peace, encourages us to be peacemakers and builders of hope in our daily lives by showing kindness and understanding, while fostering healing and reconciliation in our schools, parishes, and communities.

Catholic Education Week will be celebrated from May 2 to 7, 2026, with each day focusing on a different aspect of peace:

Monday: Peace from God
Tuesday: Peace within
Wednesday: Peace with others
Thursday: Peace in our communities
Friday: Peace in our World

All schools across our board will celebrate Catholic Education Week in ways that reflect the unique school communities. Each school will participate in a variety of activities that support learning, prayer, and collaboration, celebrating the value of Catholic education while fostering a strong sense of faith, belonging, and community.
